Our History

Our History

The Hon. Jefferson S. Teah Notary Public Office was established following the appointment of Hon. Jefferson S. Teah as a Notary Public by His Excellency George Manneh Weah on September 14, 2023. Since its establishment, the Office has remained committed to integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and excellence in the delivery of notarial services.

On January 16, 2026, Hon. Jefferson S. Teah was reappointed by His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., reaffirming the Office's commitment to serving the Liberian public.

The Office has since grown into a structured institution with six (6) employees, led administratively by the Chief of Office Staff (COS), James B. Kollie, supporting its daily operations and institutional development.

On August 15, 2026, the Office achieved another major milestone with the launch of its official website, embracing digital transformation and expanding access to its services and information.

Today, the Hon. Jefferson S. Teah Notary Public Office continues to pursue a vision of modern, reliable, transparent, and professional notarial services, with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and alignment with international standards.

Hon. Jefferson S. Teah is a distinguished Liberian citizen, born on August 15, 1987, in Picnicess Sobobo Town, Grand Kru County, unto the union of Mr. Harris N. Teah and Mrs. Sophia W. Teah. From early childhood he developed a strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and commitment to personal development — values of respect, perseverance, humility, and service that continue to shape his professional journey.

Beginning his primary education in Picnicess Sobobo Town in 1993, he later migrated to Monrovia in 2002 to continue at St. Philip's Ecumenical High School, and in 2008 enrolled at E. Johnathan Goodridge Memorial High School in Barnersville Estate, Montserrado County. Through every stage he demonstrated determination to overcome challenges and remain focused on his goals.

His commitment to public service and belief that citizens have a duty to contribute positively to society led him into Notarial Practice, where he upholds professionalism, accountability, accuracy, and respect for the law. He continues to aspire to become a leading figure in the notarial profession and an example of responsible citizenship.

Educational Background

Hon. Jefferson S. Teah began his primary education in Picnicess Sobobo Town, Grand Kru County, in 1993. In 2002 he migrated to Monrovia, where he continued his education at St. Philip's Ecumenical High School until 2007. Due to a change in residence, in 2008 he enrolled at E. Johnathan Goodridge Memorial High School in Barnersville Estate, Montserrado County, where he continued to pursue his academic aspirations. His movement from Grand Kru County to Monrovia exposed him to new experiences, opportunities, and responsibilities.
